David M. Ewalt is an award-winning journalist, author and speaker. He is an authority on the intersection of games and technology.

He is the author of the book Of Dice and Men: The Story of Dungeons & Dragons and The People Who Play It, a history of one of the most important games of our time. It was chosen as one of the best books of 2013 by Amazon.com and by Hudson Booksellers.

He is a contributing editor to Forbes Magazine, writes a blog for Forbes.com, and works on a variety of projects for other major media outlets. He previously served as a senior editor at Forbes, where he co-authored the annual Fictional 15 and helped create two of the magazine's biggest annual issues, America's Best Colleges and The World's Most Powerful People. His byline has appeared in a wide range of magazines, newspapers, and web sites, including InformationWeek, New York, Reuters, The Boston Globe and The Wall Street Journal.
